Introducing Kietzee Guides

We’re super excited to announce the launch of Kietzee Guides, a directory of vetted professionals who work 1-on-1 with international families like yourselves, to help you on your journey to and through parenthood ❤️

As you’re embarking and traveling on this journey of having a baby in Germany as an international family, you will likely have many questions – about processes, paperwork, legal and health topics or emotional and behavioral challenges.

Kietzee Guides are here to give you access to professional and personalized support in English (or even your native language).

They are lactation consultants, doulas, early childhood development experts, coaches and therapists, family photographers, employment lawyers, paperwork experts and many more.

How do we choose and vet our Guides?

We have worked with many of our Guides since the beginnings of Kietzee, collaborating with them on articles, events and workshops.

Most of our Guides have contributed their expertise in the form of articles on the Kietzee blog, which serve as a first step in helping you make all those important decisions.

These decisions may include where to give birth, how to fill out the various forms, how to introduce solids to your baby, how to settle your child into Kita and many more. Kietzee Guides have run workshops and webinars with us or joined us on Instagram LIVE.

They also run monthly Lunch & Learns for Kietzee community members on various topics relevant to new and expecting parents.

Now you can get their personalized support in figuring out just what’s right for you and your family.

Each Guide has provided information on their professional education and qualifications as well as their experience working with families, parents and/ or children. Additionally, we have spoken to all Guides personally to ensure a good fit with our community.

Guides can receive a complimentary profile once vetted by the Kietzee team. Additionally, as of May 2024, they can pay a small fee to get a featured profile placement.

Finding the right Guide for you

You will find both highly experienced professionals as well as those that are newer to their profession.

Some of the offerings can be covered by health insurance while others will be privately paid – you can refer to each Guide’s profile to learn more.

More junior professionals may offer lower rates than their more senior colleagues. Likewise, more established professionals may have a different tax setup than those that are new to their calling. We felt it was important to explain this but at the same time, you don't have to worry too much about this as the rates you see are the rates you pay, whether a Guide is required to charge VAT or not.

Finally, we have done our utmost to vet all of our professionals so you can choose solely based on chemistry, personal preference or qualifications – depending on what your situation requires, and what is important to you.

We hope you will find the support that you need and welcome any feedback you may have!

Here’s to happy and healthy families ❤️
