I'm Suzanne, an early years educator with a passion for working with children but an even larger determination to help parents develop their best selves when it comes to dealing with babies, toddlers and kids (even the larger ones!).
Originating from the depths of the Northern Irish countryside and also a large, bustling household, I realised very early on that although family seems to be the most important thing in the world, it also can be the most challenging!
I have endless energy and an appetite to get involved through direct help - my Masters in Education has brought me round the world, at times working in extreme environments and with extreme situations.
As a result, I have worked with families from all walks of life and children who have had a wide range of needs, including most special education needs from Aspergers to ADHD.
Skills such as storytelling, role-play, active listening, relationship building through play have been the cornerstones of my trauma work, normally occurring in post-conflict situations but they are transferred when I work with younger generations from stable settings, who struggle with today's fast-paced and chaotic life.
I have jokingly been nicknamed 'Supernanny' for my deep understanding of children's behaviour during developmental years and also am able to work with siblings (and/or parents) in creating a long-lasting, cohesive family dynamic.
Now settled in Berlin, I am part-time stepmum, full-time running a Kita and have a roster of private clients where I apply the same love, care and positive attitude. I am no stranger to a joke or a hug either!
I like people to get in touch so we can arrange a first consultation - I will let you know then whether I am a good fit for your needs.
I believe that honesty, respect and hope are all as important as each other and working together with these values, I hope to improve your experience as a parent... especially when the going gets tough.
So don't be afraid to get in touch to have a chat!
