Work with Educational Psychologist and Global Trainer, Tara Eddy, M.S., P.P.S, LEP in a 5 week workshop series. You'll meet with Tara and a small group of parents around the globe.
You'll leave with tools and strategies for school success, smoother transitions at home (getting out the door), motivation, behavior, executive functioning differences like following through on tasks or getting started. Workbook pages and prompts are provided to keep this time action oriented.
Session 1: Discover differences in the ADHD brain not commonly discussed, which is really the 'why' behind certain difficulties and strengths that commonly occur. We talk about tweaks to make home life, mornings, and transitions more successful.
Session 2: Learn about executive functioning (EF) and how to build our kids skills and bridges to support them while they are learning. This is critical for managing transitions, getting through homework, and experiencing less resistance to tasks our kids find challenging.
Session 3: Discover ways to improve motivation and behavior. We'll talk about collaborative problem solving and natural ways of supporting our kids' engagement.
Session 4: Unpack school support options, what to ask for that is meaningful and what isn't. We also learn about the impact of EF on math and writing, and what can help our kids academically.
Session 5: Full hour group consultation to problem solve through situations that are currently taking place.
