The BIWoC and TINA Pregnancy Group aims to provide a space for pregnant individuals who identify as BIWoC (Black, Indigenous, Women of Color) and TINA (Trans, Inter, Non-Binary, Agender) BIPoC persons.
This space is open to you for conversations, building new connections, sharing information and resources, as well as exchanging experiences, joys, and concerns.
For this first session, we will start by getting to know each other and exploring the needs and interests of participants in a cozy discussion circle. Snacks, tea, blankets, and pillows will be provided.
Collaborative activities can also be part of the group, such as creating a birth plan, trying out relaxation exercises, or formulating self-advocacy strategies during pregnancy, prenatal care and childbirth. Moreover, we can engage in creative endeavors as well.
Every individual is warmly invited to contribute, engage in collaborative research, and share knowledge.
